White Arrow are complete and utter rubbish. How difficult can it be to deliver a parcel? Sure, I know there's lots of logistical stuff, and it's probably harder than I think, but honestly if White Arrow can really mess it up, and you'll be lucky if you get a sorry.

My first bad experience with White Arrow involved deliveries from a book club (a bad choice in itself, but that's a separate opinion).

After some time I contacted the book club concerned as I had not yet received my last order. They told me that it had been delivered. I had not received it. They were very apologetic, and kindly promised to send it again.

Considerably more time past - still no parcel. Then, whilst standing at the bus stop, I caught sight of my delivery note lying on the pavement. I could only assume that they had left my parcel on the doorstep (which they had done several times before - particularly stupid as on each occasion I had been home at the time and they had not bothered to knock) and that it had been stolen.

The book club promised to send it again, and to pass my complaint on to White Arrow. I got a brief letter apologising and promising to do better next time.

About 4 months ago I placed an order with a small mail order company. After 2 failed attempts by White Arrow to deliver my parcel (I had not been at home) I telephoned WA and asked them to deliver the parcel to an alternative address.

Another couple of weeks still no parcel. I telephoned White Arrow, who told me that it had been sent back to the depot to be returned to sender. Yes, they could see I had arranged delivery to an alternative address, but for some unexplained reason this couldn't be done.

I wrote a formal letter of complaint to the manager of the depot. To date I have received no response.

The mail order company in question resent my parcel via Royal Mail, and it arrived the next day. I now get them to send a
ll my parcels by Royal Mail and pay the difference.

All in all, if you can send it by someone else, please, please do.
