Disadvantages: too many to count
My husband and I ordered a mattress from Littlewoods on the 26/12/2012. We were told it would be delivered on the 28/12/2012. We did not receive the delivery and weren't able to successfully contact Littlewoods by phone until Monday as they were closed at the weekend. We moved house on the 30th so we contacted Littlewoods on Monday who directed us to Yodel. We called them and changed the delivery to our new address. They phoned us back on Wednesday to confirm that it would be delivered to us this morning.(04/01/2013) We received a voice message this morning from the delivery driver saying that he was en route and would be here at 10:10am. We waited until 2pm and then phoned Yodel and discovered that the delivery driver tried to deliver our mattress to a few houses down from us and then took it upon himself to cancel the order because the man at the wrong house said he didn't order a mattress. He should've called my husband's mobile back and spoken to us to clear it up. We were only waiting a few doors down. We now have a cancelled order due to a mistake in taking down our address in Yodel's system. I am pregnant and have been sleeping on a hard floor for a week and my husband has a bad back from an accident he was in. We are paying for a mistake that was not ours and now it is looking as though we will have to wait until Monday to even be able to call again. We have run up our mobile phone bill trying to sort this out all week. I have never in my life experienced such apalling service. Nobody seems to know what is going on or how to fix it. I would not recommend Yodel to anyone in a million years.
