Arriva

Arriva is a well known bus company up and down the country. They operate in cities as well as towns and also villages. The company also operates in the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Spain. So, I decided to review the Arriva buses because I catch one every morning and feel I have a lot to say about them. I have been catching these buses since I was about ten years old, so here goes. I've always considered this bus the little granny bus, but it's made a few changes in the past few years and is trying to compete for a more modern image. There are a few benefits but still a few weakenesses of this service... :) Often an emptier bus!- Bus users will know that an empty bus is a heavenly bus! Arriva buses are a dialy endurance for me in order to get to and from work. I find the buses are usually pretty clean and vary rarely see any gum/graffitti whilst traveling. The seats are basic, uncomfortable by adequate for the hosrt journey. I enjoy reading the FREE newspaper provided on the buses, and am very pleased that there is always a nice stack available to help occupy myself on the trip! The buses are very good for enabling people with wheelchairs, and the buses can be lowered and a ramp lowered to aid passengers. The dirivers are another story. Arriva is a very important aspect of travelling for me; I depend on their bus services. In terms of prices, they have put their prices up a LOT in the last couple of years, but despite this are still at quite a reasonable price. In terms of time keeping Arriva is very good, and it is rare for a bus to turn up considerably late, and so is surprisingly quite a reliable form of transport. One issue I have with Arriva and have always had is the bus drivers; the vast majority of them are very arrogant, particularly with young people! I use arriva on a daily basis, for traveling to uni, work and socially as i live in a small town with no social activites going on! *time keeping* I have to say the Arriva buses in my area do keep pretty good times! they occasionaly a couple of minutes late, but never more than 5 minutes, and who can honestly say they are always on time when driving! *bus drivers* There is certainly a mixture of these! from grumpy old git who grunts as you board, to the friendly one who regocnise you and always geet you on board with a smile. 9/10 times the driver alway wish me a good day, say bye as i leave the bus! *the buses* Recently ...  Read the complete review
