Arriva bus service ! What service to they offer ? A passenger is thrown to the floor of the bus due to the bus turning on a round about too fast, she is left there until a passsenger helps her up and back into her seat, she was unable to get herself up, having recently having a total knee replacement,the bus driver did not ask if the passenger if he/shewas alright until he had to stop at the next traffic lights. Then he only turned his head round, not even seeing the injured passenger, and yelled"are you alright?" to which the disabled pensioner whispered "I think so". Taking this matter up with Arriva, a statement has been obtained from the driver's wife,which is totally untrue, she did not even see the passenger thrown to the floor, the driver denied he was going too fast, although passengers on the bus spoke to each other, one saying "he was going too fast!. At 71 years of age, this passenger is not throwing herself off of a bus seat near the window side, just for the fun of it. She had to go to her G.P. who referred her to the local hospital where she had x-rays, saw to doctors, etc. Inspite of Arriva having all the medical records re the incident on their bus, they still deny the accident was caused by one of their drivers. Not even a letter of showing concern for the injured passenger. Even now, Arriva still deny any responsibility for the injured and the driver's wife blames the passenger for being thrown to the floor due to the fact the passenger was trying to save her shopping trolley from falling in the first place. The passenger, now aged 72, is now taking up the matter with a solicitor.
