Advantages: cheap and cheerful, clean

Disadvantages: grumpy bus drivers

Arriva buses are a dialy endurance for me in order to get to and from work.

I find the buses are usually pretty clean and vary rarely see any gum/graffitti whilst traveling. The seats are basic, uncomfortable by adequate for the hosrt journey. I enjoy reading the FREE newspaper provided on the buses, and am very pleased that there is always a nice stack available to help occupy myself on the trip! The buses are very good for enabling people with wheelchairs, and the buses can be lowered and a ramp lowered to aid passengers.

The dirivers are another story. I always say Hello, please and thanks you, and noramlly recieve a grunt if i am lucky! The seem to blatently ignore noisey kids playing loud music or people smoking at the back of the bus. i find it rude, especialy when older people travel and look frightened, looking at the drivers pleading for them to do something! Obviously not all drivieres are bad, i have met some very pleasent ones, yet i think they are few and far between!

My fare is £2 for about 5 miles, which is reasonable although takes a good 45 minutes, but saves my paying for a car!

Overall not a bad company although as my old school reports use to say - could do better!
