Arriva is a well known bus company up and down the country. They operate in cities as well as towns and also villages. The company also operates in the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Spain. So, I decided to review the Arriva buses because I catch one every morning and feel I have a lot to say about them. I have been catching these buses since I ... Read the complete review

I've always considered this bus the little granny bus, but it's made a few changes in the past few years and is trying to compete for a more modern image. There are a few benefits but still a few weakenesses of this service... :) Often an emptier bus!- Bus users will know that an empty bus is a heavenly bus! As in the West Midlands, ... Arriva buses are a dialy endurance for me in order to get to and from work. I find the buses are usually pretty clean and vary rarely see any gum/graffitti whilst traveling. The seats are basic, uncomfortable by adequate for the hosrt journey. I enjoy reading the FREE newspaper provided on the buses, and am very pleased that there is ... Read the complete review

Arriva is a very important aspect of travelling for me; I depend on their bus services. In terms of prices, they have put their prices up a LOT in the last couple of years, but despite this are still at quite a reasonable price. In terms of time keeping Arriva is very good, and it is rare for a bus to turn up considerably ... Read the complete review

I use arriva on a daily basis, for traveling to uni, work and socially as i live in a small town with no social activites going on! *time keeping* I have to say the Arriva buses in my area do keep pretty good times! they occasionaly a couple of minutes late, but never more than 5 minutes, and who can honestly say they are always on ... Jumped aboard an Arriva train from Crewe to Shrewsbury on 13/06/09. Me,my wife and 30month old daughter were on the filthy shed for 30mins before it broke down.A further 2 1/2hrs we were sat on the train with no air-con,no water,no food and no hope before the train moved in the direction we came from. We had to jump off and Nantwich to catch the following delayed train which was also disgusting to be in considering we wear clean clothes.4hrs of no water, food nor decent supply of fresh air on a smelly dirty train. Arriva showed utter contempt for any passenger welfare and the driver and guard simply cowered in the cab at the front of the train. I will never use ATW ever again and shall use all other train operators and even drive before paying to travel with these again.Stay well clear people--youve been warned!!

I never imagined myself as someone who would spend time writing reviews about Bus Journeys, but I felt bound to leap to the defence of Arriva as they currently have a two star rating! I should state that I do understand that services will vary enormously around the country and I have had some bad bus journeys in the past...but I have ... Read the complete review

Unfortunately I have to use this company every day as I travel to and from work. First thing to say is that their drivers are miserable. This I can understand having to deal with Joe Bloggs and his seven chavs get on the bus and they don't want to pay. However, the main problem is that the buses do not run on time and cost an arm and ... Read the complete review

I live in Surrey and have been using the local bus service for years!! For over 6 years anyway! The bus company is called Arriva. My journey into town takes about 15 mins by bus. Why dont I walk, you say? I walk it sometimes in the summer and it takes about 40mins, I know it doesn't sound very long but it is after you've worked 9am - ... Read the complete review

Unfortunately I often have to get the bus into our nearest town, Crewe, as my partner has our car for work. I generally find the drivers on our local Arriva buses to be rude, arrogant people who frequently pay no attention to speed limits whatsoever. Today I had to go into town so I waited for my bus, which was of course ... Read the complete review

Arriva buses... I have so many gripes with this company. I moved to derby around 6 years ago, and since the price for the buses has rocketed. I remember when i had to pay just £1 for a return to town. Since then, the prices have gradually gone up by around 10p each time...Now i have to pay 90p each way, as they have decided to 'stop' ... I can only comment on the arriva services in the Loughborough area where the primary service is the 127. I often have to use this route for getting from home to both friends houses and to school earlier in the year and my experiences were nothing but rubbish. The prices have risen a ridiculous amount. It costs me 2 pounds to get from my house to ... Read the complete review

Arriva Trains Wales - I've read many reviews but my main issue with ATW is the lack of rubbish clearance on trains by staff. I object to sitting amongst empty beer cans left by previous passengers, only once have I seen a guard actually collect rubbish into a bag. Other train operators take pride in their rolling stock especially London Midland ... Read the complete review

I travelled on a No. 4 town service bus, left Aylesbury station at 13.12.
