A so-so experience (Bluestar Ferries (Greece))

This ferry is of high quality in terms of interior, safety instructions and comfortability, but falls down a lot in other ways.

The biggest problem is that on their website, you can only make bookings with Internet Explorer. I use Google Chrome browser and I cannot even view the reservations page. This is a serious concern for me because I do not believe that Internet Explorer has adequate security features installed.

That means you have to go out of your way to go to a travel agent - big problem.

When we rode the Bluestar ferry from Santorini to Naxos, it was half an hour late. This is the first problem with my personal experience. When the boat did actually come, the staff were yelling at us and blowing whistles. "Quickly! Quickly! Run! Run!" is what they were yelling at us. I felt like we were running across some exposed area in a warzone.

The next think I didn't like is that you had to leave your bag in the cargo hold with the cars. While you are upstairs, there is no way to check that someone is not taking it or looking through it. On other ferry companies you can take the bag where you like.

Just before getting to each stop, the staff would run up and down the aisles yelling "NAXOS NAXOS" or "IOS IOS" to tell you what the stop was, but it might have been better just to do it over the loudspeaker.

Probably one of the better ferries we rode, but could be a lot better

Summary: Not too bad, but nothing to write home about it (just write to Dooyoo :))
