Advantages: Modern, well-equiped ship

Disadvantages: Long crossing

In a few weeks time we will be crossing the channel with Brittany Ferries for the second time in successive years. Last year the North Wales section of the National Tandem Club toured part of Brittany. It was so enjoyable we will be joining them again. I am not a keen sea traveller, but I was assured it doesn't get much better than the Portsmouth-St. Malo crossing with Brittany Ferries. They convinced me. Its a huge ferry, lots of space, plenty to do, the time (Considerable) just sailed by (pardon the pun). There is an additional charge of £5.00 each way for the tandem, otherwise you travel as a foot passenger (still not cheap though) £240.00 (2 people) with a cabin for each of the night crossings (without a car!).
