BudgetNewest Review: ... vehicles all seem to be between brand new and twelve months old at the oldest which is a good thing I think Budget must buy new and get rid at twelve months old as I haven't seen an older vehicle on their forecourt. They are also very clean when you pick them up, which is a nice touch, I have used some other companies in the past and got dirty vehicles but I must say at Budget every van I ... more |

Before I bought my new work van eighteen months ago I had an old Ford Transit, and because of the mileage I was doing, it was off the road quite often. Obviously I still needed to work, being self employed, and there is a Budget about half a mile from my home, so I chose to rent a van from them the first time and was so impressed with them that I ended up using them about eight times in six months, before giving up on the old van. About Budget Budget combines the strength of one of the world's largest car rental brands together with the detailed local knowledge, flexibility and great value for money you need. Established in 1958, the ... Read the complete review

Over the last few years I have visited Florida (where I have a home), 3 or 4 times a year. I have tried various car hire companies over this time and have now settled on using Budget every time I need to hire a car. I usually book through Affordable Car Hire as I find their prices to be competitive. A plus with them is, they do not charge you for using your credit card as payment. Budget offers two types of cover namely, Gold Rate or Platinum Rate. Gold rate includes one additional driver whilst Platinum allows unlimited additional drivers and a tank of petrol. With either of these rates you are covered for all insurances and taxes with nothing else to ... Read the complete review

We have just returned from 11 days in Ireland, and as we were going to be doing a fair bit of travelling, we hired a car for the duration. When we went to Dublin earlier in the year, we hired a car through Hertz, but when attempting to book for this trip, for some reason there were no cars available for the dates we wanted, so we needed to find one elsewhere. First of all, we tried Avis. On the face of it, we thought we were on to a good deal, with 11 days hire of a mid-sized car at around 340 Euros. However, on reading the small print, this included no insurance whatsoever, and the charge per day for third party, damage waiver, and theft bumped this up to ... Read the complete review

We hired a car through ww.expedia.com to collect from Budget Rent a Car in Sao Paulo airport, Brazil. Everything was fine when we arrived and we upgraded to a larger car. We had hired the car for a specific period of time to be returned to the airport one Sunday afternoon 3 weeks later. A few days later we had a telephone call from Budget to say their airport desk was closing down and we would have to return the car to their downtown office, about 15 miles away. This was going to cause me a lot of inconvenience as it meant leaving very much earlier to catch the 9pm flight. With some difficulty we found the office at about 3-30pm. It was closed and ... I hired a car from Budget during my recent trip to the US. Having shopped around, I chose to hire via Aspect Car Rental (see separate opinion) in the UK, so all my insurance, CDW, SLI etc were included - this made life much easier. When I arrived at the airport to collect the car, all I had to do was hand over my licence and car rental voucher - they had all of my other details from the agency. I even got a choice of car colour. The car I got (a Compact in rental parlance) was a Ford Escort. Pretty basic model, but with everything you need. As I hadn't driven in the US before, they even gave me a good atlas, as well as a quick run down on driving an ... Read the complete review
