Advantages: weekly pay some thing to fall back on if you need quick cash

Disadvantages: doing shift work, dealing with other road users and road rage, bad pay

I have just found out that Ken livingstone is to give All london bus drivers £20 extra a week, Is it worth it?? Nobody likes bus drivers or even give them credit for what they do. Think about Driving a big double decker bus through the most hardest of traffic whilst carrying 100 people. Now that is a big responsibilty. yet people do seem to care. Everyday myself and other drivers are verbally or physically abused everyday. We are poorly paid and not appreciated.Yet if All london bus drivers went on strike there would be alot of chaos on the roads. Yet all the government goes on about is tube and train drivers. at present bus drivers are on £4 - £6 ph. Bus drivers should be paid more and yet be appreciated. They do a hard and very stressful job, so when you get off a bus the next time you use it, smile at the driver and thank him...for he has been up since 4am just to give you a good public service.
