Advantages: luxury

Disadvantages: cost

We went by Eurostar on our recent trip to Paris. It was more convinient,as I need a fair amount of leg room being disabled.

We booked our train tickets at the same time as our hotel, and agreed to pay £39 extra each to upgrade to first class. (At our travel agents suggestion).

When, we got onto eurostar the first thing I noticed was the width of the chairs. Then sitting in one the wonderful amount of leg room. The seats were able to recline slightly also.

we were soon on our way. And almost immediately we were given a choice of drinks, including Champagne and alcholic beverages. Then came the menu with the choice of food, closely followed by the food itself. A 3 course dinner is served, though portions are not that big! We had pork with red cabbage and apple sauce with saute potatoes, followed by cheesecake. After dinner, comes the tea/coffee, and chocolates. Finally the hot towels!

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip on Eurostar, and will certainly pay the extra to upgrade on any future use of it. It is a luxury, but a luxury you'll wonder how you did without?

Wrong topic - this is about Eurotunnel, not Eurostar.

We went as car passengers on the eurostar ,ah.. the smell of pertol and jam sandwiches ...... your experience sounds much more inviting !
