Advantages: Great, easy, stress-free

Disadvantages: None

Eurotunnel must now be the first chocie for motoring to France.

Its all so easy. Book in advance or just turn up and go. Off peak you can often just arrive and go on the next train...sometimes in 20 minutes. The loading process is very unhurried and relaxing. Just trundle onto the train, switch off and litterally lie back while you ar wafted to the other side.

If you want to stop the terminals are bright and airy if a little crowded at the peak times.

It can be a little more expensive if you dont book a ticket ahead - even then though you dont need to book a specific time, just a date and timeband ie night or day - but just think oif the lack of stress.....no worries about missing ferries as you drive there or back, no waiting in interminable queues to boards ferries.

I think that the eurostar is good if you can afford it. I personally prefer taking th bus. It's way cheaper.
