Advantages: How not to run a business...

Disadvantages: I really walked!

Quite simply; do not use this company!
I've had terrible experiences both as a private user and (against my better instinct!) had to use Europcar for business, rather walk?... I did!

Private experiences?

Try not getting a deposit back from this company, a month if you are lucky as I found.

Watch out for "promotions" I was told that if I signed up for a mobile phone when booking I would get a discount on the rental fee and then could cancel the contract immediately without penalty.
This I did yet still regular amounts were deducted from my account...

Business

I was delighted to begin a job as a tour leader in Tuscany last month, imagine my joy to discover that my company (part of one of the world's largest holiday firms) exclusively used Europcar!

My first experience at Pisa airport check in desk lasted a morning and involved the wrong size minibus being offered (as opposed to the correct one which had been booked) which was wholely inappropriate for the size of my group.

The second visit saw me unable to collect a small car that had been booked to take me to my between-tours accomodation a considerable distance south for a couple of days rest due to a complete lack of organization.

Suffice to say I found myself more willing to eat broken glass than to deal with Europcar again that I quit the job!

Summary: Just awful
