6 of us hired a 9 seater van from Faro airport for our golf trip in March. We pointed out all the obvious damage we could see to the bodywork and this was duly noted on the form. On leaving the aiport we tried to open the windows, one of them was broken and fixed tight shut.
On returning the car 4 days later the 'inspector' arrived and walked straight to a tiny tiny dent, no bigger then 2 mm in size on the door. There was also a small crack in the PLASTIC reflector in the rear bumper and of course the window.
£550 was charged to the credit card!!
They are thieves. Europcar are scammers and should not be used by anyone (unless you really want to pay the extra insurance). How they are allowed to get away with this is unbelievable.
Be aware, be very aware of what you are getting into using these guys.
