Dont Do It!!! The worst experience ever!! (Europcar)

I have to write to you to let you know i am absolutely disgusted with your service. I called up to book a car and was given a quote of £94 including delivery and collection and THEN told that you need to contact my local branch to book a collection and delivery. The person that took the call told me that my local branch was Park royal when I knew the closest was Edgware, I tried to tell her this but she was adamant that this was the closest. So I called them and the lady on the phone could hardly speak English. I was on my phone for over an hour trying to book the car and then told the price didn't include collection and delivery (which was £20). Normally this can be done in a max of 20mins the thrifty/avis and any other reputable car hire company. It took a further 9 phone calls (all of which I had to make, not once did we get a call from the branch telling us they were late) before the car was delivered. Not only had I wasted my time speaking to the most unhelpful people at the park royal branch I had booked the car to be delivered at 12 so i could get to Leicester for a wedding at 2.30. The car didnt turn up till 2.45 and we didnt leave until 2.50. I told the lady I would not be paying for the drop off (she agreed) and will wait to see if I get charged. Obviously we were late for a family members wedding which ruined my weekend; then to top things off we had booked the pick up for 8am as I live in a permit only area which kicks in at 8.30am, so to save you money we didnt want to get a ticket. I had to call in again at 8.30 to speak to your disgraceful staff to check they were on there way. I was told that they will be there within 6 hours!! This was never explained to me when booking the car!!! I was told both pick up and collection would be "on the dot" by of your sales people (surprise suprise). I have never been so outraged at the incompetence of your so called "Number 1" car service.

Summary: just dont go there
