Advantages: They are ok

Disadvantages: Avis is better

I have been renting cars for many years due to my job requirements when I travel to Europe, but also due to the fact that I take frequent weekend breaks on the continent.

Avis is my preferred rental company and Europcar is the second one, and the reason for this is that most of the time Europcar are more expensive than Avis, although cheaper than Hertz and also Budget.

Europcar have branches pretty much everywhere in Europe where there is an airport, which is clearly one of the key elements in choosing a rental company if you fly to Europe. I book online, or check prices online most of the time.

Since I am a Gold member of British Airways, I get an upgrade with Avis, while with Europcar I do not, this is also a reason for preferring Avis.

Prices vary a lot depending on how early I book, the location, the period, and obviously the car type. I am lucky if I find anything for less than 100 Pounds for 3 days, even for the smaller car.

When I pick up my car, I always check the car for any minor damage, this is something i do with all car rental companies. I never had any problem with Europcar, I found that there was never an occasion where I had to wait for too long, apart from one time in Milan.

The cars I had always run perfectly well too.

In conclusion, Europcar is ok, but I prefer Avis.
