Advantages: comfy, spacious

Disadvantages: erm, cant really think of any

We used the Eurostar to go from London to Disneyland Paris last year. This was the first time we had been on it, so we were unsure of what to expect. We arrived at the station in good time, and as I had got an e-ticket I had to use the machines provided to print out a paper ticket. The machines are easy to use - you just put in the details off your email confirmation and out pops the ticket. You then have to look at the screens to see when check-in opens for your journey. When it is open, you queue up and go through security, have your bags x-rayed etc. and make your way to the waiting area. This is a bit like an airport departure lounge, there are shops, cafes etc for you to pass the time with. You have to look at the screens to see which platform you are going from, and locate the door (equivalent to an airport "gate") which you will need. The announcement system will tell you when you can board. Take note of what carriage number you are in, as the trains are very long! The numbers are on the carriages themselves and also painted on the floor to help you locate yours. We were in the economy section, but I was pleased with the cabins. They are less cramped than a normal train, you have plenty of legroom and there is space to put your bags. They come round with the refreshments trolley, but be warned these are expensive!! We had to change trains at Lille to get a train to Disneyland, it was a bit of a muddle trying to find our way around Lille station but we got there in the end! We then got off at Marne Le Vallee which is literally right on Disneyland's doorstep. There are shuttle buses outside the station to all the Disney hotels, so it was easy peasy to get to the hotel. All in all I was pleased with the Eurostar, and it's a very easy way and fast way to get to Disneyland Paris.

Summary: good service.
