Maybe I have been unlucky but I have used Eurostar 5 times and never had a good experience. I used it in April from St. Pancras - Gare du Nord and was delayed for 1 hour (in the tunnel!) outbound, then 2 hours inbound at Gare du Nord. I love Eurostar though the knee room in the standard seats is a bit mean and there seems to be no way of selecting seats at a table. The important thing is to book as early as you can, prices go up as the date of travel approaches and the cheaper seats are taken up.
