Eurotunnel Transport International

Newest Review: ... the same for you up to 2 hours after you booked train so no panic or speeding if you are running a little late. This I feel is great especially on the way home if you are travelling a long way like we did it can be difficult to plan ahead for how long your journey will take you to reach the terminal. Overall I found Eurotunnel the most stress free, well organised and efficient method of international transport I have used. The only negative is that it will only take you as far as Calais. Will definitely use it again and would recommend for anyone travelling to france and wanting a rental car, just drive you own instead.... more

Fast and speedy service - compared to a ferry. However, sometimes the queues for customs are very long (30 minutes). But beware of the frequent traveller pass. They give the impression that you just pay a supplement on peak times, but they only make a limited number of tickets available for frequent traveller pas holders - so you may find yourself being forced to pay the regular price on the most popular slots (i.e. when you actually want to use it)

I have to be feeling seriously under pressure to book another form of transport between Dover and Calais. Now, I am not particularly flush with cash, but there are so many advantage to using the eurotunnel... Firstly, you don't need to worry about the weather. Dover to Calais may not take long on a ferry, but if you are feeling seasick, it may feel like an eternity. Or it may simply take an eternity due to strike action (vive la France). Even if the weather is calm and industrial relations fine, the Eurotunnel is your quickest and smoothest option. If you have booked with a bank or credit card their clever number plate recognition system works out ...  Read the complete review
