Excess BaggageNewest Review: ... them. One of the bags was delivered destroyed (the bag had been ripped open and most valuable items removed, documents stolen etc etc). Fortunately I did have insurance but the actual lack of respect for customers by the company is shocking. I could sort of understand it if the bag was lost, but the fact that the bag was not under tight security at all times is shocking. Whats more, when I said i would like a refund of the cost of sending the bags, EBC basically told be to hit the road, as they had "delivered" the bags. Lets me tell you something, delivering a shell of a ripped up suitcase is not rendering the service. And wait u... more |

Do not use this company!! I airfreighted three bags to the USA from London, hardly the most dangerous of routes. Two were broken into and employees of the company/ their associates helped themselves to a laptop and camera in one of them. DO NOT USE EXCESS BAGGAGE AT ANY COSTS - SHOP AROUND!!!
I recently moved to Duabi and shipped my worldly possessions using Excess Baggage. When are items arrived we found that most of the boxes with fragile pieces in had been smashed and that they managed to smash our £1000 plasma TV. When I tried to claim the money back or receive an explanation as to how this happened; they took no liability, hardly gave an apology and were rather blasé about the whole affair.
There are lot of companies out there, seriously stay away from this one:- poor customer service and a basic lack of common decency.

Do not use the Excess Baggage Company (www.excess-baggage.com) as they claim 5 to 14 days for delivers, but it took over a month and cost me a fortune buying new clothes. They have really poor customer service.
