i seriously feel cheated by this company. They told me i just had to pay 100 pounds for 35kg but when my bill arrived it was upto 150. When i called them they dint even make an effort to find why i had to pay that amount.Later they told me they'd call me, but havent recieved any calls from then. Furthermore, the delivery man was so rude, i hardly could believe. At first when i called them to inquire about quotes they seemed really nice, but right after i paid deposit and ordered the boxes it all changed. After i made the second call they coudnt care less. They were just not responding and giving me clear answers. I would never recommend this to my friends or my family.

I used Excess Baggage to send home some presents and belongings from England to Australia and did not insure it. The luggage was rummaged through when it arrived 3 months later and a brand new Nintendo DS stolen from the case. The DS was in a case, in a bag, inside a suitcase. Excess Baggage workers can 'legally' steal any item they desire, if your luggage is uninsured.When you complain the company will simply say "you should have insured your luggage."And it cost me around 100 pounds to send the luggage.Would you pay people to rob you?Think twice before you use them.

Just thought that others would be interested to hear of this - I have used Excess Baggage twice to send presents back to my family in Australia. Both times the service has been good. Some friends of mine have had bad experiences with other companies so I was nervous about sending stuff through this kind of service. However, I can recommend Excess Baggage - it was easy to arrange the shipment and everything went ahead as planned. It is not cheap, but is much less expensive than paying the Airline to take it on my flight (which isnt that often anyway).

For sure these guys are not the cheapest company around, but based on a good experience a friend had using them i decided to give them a go. At the end of the day i am glad i paid a bit extra - the service was faultless. Also, the sales representative that i was mainly dealing with (a guy called Tom), was not only professional and immensely helpful. So they have good staff and a good service. My friend had exactly the same experience so i will happily rate them 5 stars.

I was very happy to discover this Excess Baggage service. I had two heavy suitcases for my flight to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but wanted to spend a few days in New York; so it was very convenient to have my luggage sent on. I then could travel light and comfortably use public transportation in London and New York. What I saved in taxi fares went a long way to covering the cost of sending the luggage ahead.Now I have discovered this service, which was punctual, efficient and courteous, I will use it again. I heartily recommend it to other travelers.

I was stranded by my airline and was gonna have to pay an absolute fortune to send just some presents and souveneers of Britain back to my family in NZ. I couldn't believe my luck when i called Excess Baggage, they quoted me a price which was about a tenth of the airline fee! (Cathay Pacific btw...). Used them in december and stuff has been delivered already, really quick and impressiv. Their staff on the phones were good as well, i am not the best at filing in forms and they were alwatys happy to asist me. Will be using again next time and have told all my pals about them to!

I used Excess Baggage to move my personal efects to Australia. It was a small shipment and everything arrived intact and in good time. The sales person who looked after my move was fantastic - very friendly and helpful. There was a charge that had to be paid in Australia for clearing everything with Australian quarantione services, but I had been told to expect that anyway, so not really a 'hidden' charge. I would have no problem using them again if needed.

Warning - avoid using them if you can. Dont sent personal stuff that is dear to you because they dont care, not do they package your stuff as they promise on their website. Avoid using this company at all costs, I had two boxes sent with them and when they arrived they were in very bad condition. The boxes had been opened in transit and I had items stolen including a laptop. Not worth the risk in dealing with them.

I had 23 boxes shipped from the UK to Norway, I did not draw an insurance as I simply couldn't afford it at the time. However I had packed things really well and with great care. Do not use this company they will try and rip you off. The final cost was over £200 more than the quote and we shipped less than we first stated. I complained and they said some of the costs where in the wrong currency and they would get back to me. We they go back the price was £50 less so I complained some more and then they said there was a £50 parking fee for the movers parking on a yellow line (they where in a loading zone) I asked for the paper work and then they gave me another £50 off. We still paid £100 more than they quoted. DO NOT USE.

Don't be tempted to use these Clowns....unless you enjoy wasting time money, or simply kissing goodbye to your possessions. They need investigating.Tell everybody you know who is thinking of shipping their goods to go elsewhere, its as simple as thatthey don't even rate 1 star, but thats the lowest I can choose. they need a minus star rating category to reflect the money you are going to lose if you use them
