Having just read a review on here of this bus company I would like to add my own rant.

I dont have to use the bus to get to uni and town, I could walk. However the walk goes through a very dangerously pitch black park at night. So with these early evenings coming in I now get a weekly bus ticket costing £10. I also have to go to work and so can end up using the bus about 4 times a day.

My boyfriend has to use the bus to get to work on the weekends so by me buying that weekly ticket saves him about £8 a week. I also use it in the evenings at the weekend to go out or go to work.

The buses charge so much money now. A dayrider is £4 before 9.30!

A lot of the bus drivers are very rude to students and dont like them. Make sure you do your research of where you are going and on what bus in Leeds. If you ask a bus driver a question a lot of them dont reply or mumble something.

A lot of them drive so fast. Bearing in mind no one has a seatbelt on. I have often felt very uneasy when a bus is tearing down a hill in the rain and the dark, only to break suddenly when they realise the lights are on red. Sometimes they will just go through the red light.

If you are crossing the road the buses often accelerate towards you even if they are far away. I think they think it is fun to try and scare people into thinking they will be runover.

Not all bus drivers are like this, some are very kind and let you on when you dont have enough money, or wait if they see you running to catch their bus.

The main thing that annoys me is the way that the prices keep increasing. Since I have been in Leeds the prices have gone up so much.

I will continue to use First buses as they virtually drop me off by my front door, and they are regular and there are a lot of services I can use to get to the same place so I never have to wait for long.
I also have to use them as I dont have a car and taxis are too expensive. In Leeds a late bus runs until 3am so I can always get home safely from a night out.

Summary: I will continue to use them
