I have used the Gatwick Flyer 6 times over the past 2 years and have always found their service to be friendly, efficient and great value for money. Fortunately, due to my locale I am picked up and dropped off door-to-door, but given the fact that a taxi would cost £65 each way it is my only financially viable option. It may take longer than in a cab but the coaches are comfortable and clean and although there is a stop off at the services area near Lakeside to swap over of Gatwick & Stansted passengers this only takes around 10 mins. Gatwick Flyer Not As User Friendly As It Could Be (154 words)

The Gatwick Flyer had been recommended to me , but I was told it went door to door - not always so. I live in a village approx 3 miles from Brentwood and was looking to get to Gatwick by around 4AM. I was told that they did not pick up near me and the nearest place would be Brentwood High Street. So the proposal was that I would be stood in the high street at around 1 in the morning waiting for the pick-up. Since Brentwood high st is mainly full of nasty theme pubs and fast food outlets open till all hours it is not exactly the best place to be waiting around. Express Review on Gatwick Flyer

Just read Ms Rennie's comments and have to think "get a life". Honestly, common sense would tell you that if you cant get to the bus stop on time to get the bus, then wait in the WARM in the airport till the next one. You get what you pay for in this life and if it is cheap then it will offer a lesser service than a dearer one. I have used Gatwick Flyer since it started and yes, sometimes you JUST miss the bus, and have to wait in the airport for an extra hour. And yes, sometimes they are 10 mins late picking you up. Just arrange your schedule accordingly. Compare parking your car at Gatwick and taking the Gatwick Flyer can work out the same but no hassle of driving. You can even doze on the bus and wait to be told you are there!
