Good service at a certain price (Heathrow Express)

The Heatrow Express train is a shuttle service between Paddington Train station and the terminals at Heathrow airport. It is fast (around 15 min to Terminals 1 - 2 and 3 and a couple of mins more for terminal 5) it is frequent, trains run every 15 miniutes, it is reliable (I have used it probably more than 100 times and never remember one occasion when I was later than 5 minutes) BUT cheap it is not.

16.50 Pounds is the cost for one way ticket. It is a lot!

I always use it when I need to go to Heatrow on business, in the very old days our company paid us chauffeured cars, but I must admit that it is much faster by train, and eco friendly too.

When I travel on leisure I only use it normally on the day I leave London, because I tend to rush from the office to the airport. On the way back, it is old good Tube, all the way from Heathrow airport to the East of London where I live.

In temrs of comfort, the seats on the Heathrow express are comfortable, they also have first class, which I used only once when we travelled with a client, but I do not really see much point in it, it is surely less crowded, you have a complimentary copy of the Financial Times, and that is pretty much it.

Nearly half of the vagons are mobile free, which I find a great idea!

In conclusion, good service, but you pay a price for it.
