Crap toilets mar the experience (Hellenic Seaways (Greece))

Hellenic Seaways is one of the largest ferry companies servicing Greece and it is probably the best one we took when we were on holiday.

We used Hellenic Seaways when we came back from Naxos to Piraeus. Out of all the ferries we took, it was the most punctual, the biggest and the best.

First and foremost - the boat we rode was the most modern and had the best facilities including different lounges, big windows, a sun deck, multiple bars, a restaurant and a duty-free-style souvenir shop.

It had many seats and modern TVs and everything in that regard was good.
The staff were also the most friendly and didn't yell at us to hurry up like the other two companies we travelled with.

The boat also arrived on time.

The one thing that this company NEEDS to improve on is the state of the toilets. I have rarely seen such filthy toilets in any situation bar south east asia.

I won't go into the details except add that there were very few toilets on the whole ship and two of the mens toilets were closed for some reason, meaning there were long lines.

Otherwise good.

Summary: Fast and good for sleeping
