JETT stands for Jordanian Express Tourist Travel and is the most luxury bus company in Jordan. Large air-conditioned blue coaches travel internally in Jordan as well as to neighbouring countries connecting not only neighbours Syria and Egypt but also Gulf states and Saudi Arabia and definitely in the past to Iraq - whether there connection to Baghdad still exists I'm not sure.

I can't claimed to have gone over borders with the company but I used it to connect between Jordan's 2nd biggest city Irbid and its capital Amman. The bus cost about 1.5 Jordanian Dinars (1.50 GBP), the numbered seats were incredibly comfortable and unlike Turkey and Egypt's classy air-conditioned buses the passengers were all rather quiet which has an upside if you want to sleep but a downside if you want to socialise.

Jordan's road network is in a fairly good condition and as the buses are new, you can expect a very smooth ride. The biggest downside of this bus company is that it tends to park itself outside of the Jett Bus Office which in Irbid is not too much of an issue as it is opposite the regular bus station but the Jett Bus Office in Amman is a long way from the Downtown.. I don't recommend walking it - I walked for about 90 minutes and it was still about 9km from the centre. You will be better off getting a taxi and don't pay more than 2JD.

Summary: Lots of connections throughout the Arab World on a very comfy service
