I am a statemented Disabled Male of 60yrs.
I took my family on a camping holiday to France (1 week at the "Le Mans Classic" & 1 week on the west coast of France near Quiberon) and unfortunately my 1972 Classic blew a Head Gasket on the last but one day in Le Mans. No problem Hire car arranged but took just over 24hrs. Holiday continued with car being repatriated by rescue service (eg. first time in 13 years of attending Le Mans races).
Unfortunately on arriving back at Dunquerque for return journey we were refused entry/access to the boat and this ferry line had no process by which to transfer the Camping Gear or to allow foot passengers to return to England even though I had purchased a return ticket. Basically the company cast me adrift in France with no way of getting back to England -
SHAME ON NORFOLK LINE - In my eyes they are an absolute disgrace !!!
I ended up travelling from Dunquerque to Boulogne (Yes - Speedferries were still running then !) unfortunately I could not get a ticket as they had very recently changed their booking procedure to website purchase only (no wonder they were Bankrupt shortly after - what a shame as at least they provided stiff competition in this business !). I was then, after a very long day of driving and in excessive pain from my spinal problems, required to drive to Calais and literally had to beg a lift with a very helpful Dutch guy from Volvo Racing who allowed us to dump all our camping gear into the 40' convertible boat he was trailing and we very thankfully jumped into his huge 4x4 cab.
I have called and sent a complaint Email (ie. receiving an acknowledgement email to confirm recipt of my complaint) to Norfolk Line however they have sloped shoulders and deliberately failed to respond whatsoever to my complaint !!!

Who/Where do I go from here - Any sensible suggestions welcome?
