As a frequent visitor to France,Belgium, and Germany i have to say that Norfolk Line,is a very cheap and efficient way to cross the Channel. The prices are very cheap, the Ships are clean and Tidy, and the Staff friendly and efficient.I am glad to say that Norfolk line do not take Coaches. This removes the annoyance of screaming school children/and mouthy yobs masquerading as students.I never buy any food on any ferry as i prefer to take my own food..(A Lot Cheaper). All in all Norfolk Line offers a reliable, value for Money service..one that i really do heartily endorse.

I work in Ireland a lot. Sometimes I get sick of the lunacy which is now Dublin Airport and take the ferry instead. From the North West of England there are a couple of options. I can go from Holyhead North Wales or I can sail from much closer to home, from Birkenhead, near to Liverpool. Norfolk Line also sail from ... Dover to ... Read the complete review

ROSYTH FERRY - NEVER, NEVER AGAIN! We used the Norfolkline ferry from Zeebrugge to Rosyth a few days ago (mid September) and it was the worst ferry crossing of our lives. Fortunately we went out with Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth to St Malo and that was great as usual. This review is not a knee jerk reaction to a bad day as we ... Read the complete review

In January, in what can only be described as a moment of madness, I suggested that we (my three kids, mum, dad and myself) embark on an epic journey to spend two weeks or thereabouts at my parents luxury apartment ...ahem...caravan, in Benidorm, Spain. This plan was hedonistically passed by the travel committee - said members listed ... Read the complete review

The Norfolkline: ** A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY ** The company was started by Dutch businessman Mr Reemus in 1961. Norfolkline was basically about freight until they upgraded their ferries in the last few years to also take cars/passengers etc. In 2008 Norfolkline was voted Best ferry company by the readers of the ... For my first review I thought I'd write a review of my recent experience of the Norfolkline ferry service between Dover and Dunkerque. A family holiday was planned in western France and we searched the web for the cheapest car ferry service. Norfolkine came out the winner at around £80 for a week return with 2 adults a child and car, ... Read the complete review

I traveled on norfolk line for the first time the other day, It wasent great and it wasent bad! I twas very quick loading and plenty of space between each cars. I noticed that they dont take any people by foot of coach parties, a very good thing. As there was only couples/familes and truck drivers. The boat was just like any other,a few ... As British expats working in Belgium, we regularly come back to see grandparents (and even football occasionally!) Originally, Eurotunnel was the preferred option, but now we more often than not take Nofolk Lines on the Dover-Dunkerque route. The crossing takes approximately two hours, and the fleet has been modernised over the last eighteen ... Read the complete review

I travelled Norfolk Line from Dover to Dunkerque with a Toyota Landcruiser in November 2005, returning 4 days later. Online booking was simple and CHEAP (£48 return). It was cheaper to book directly on the Norfolk Line web site than through 3rd party sites, some of which were quoting over £90 for the same sailings. On the outward ... Read the complete review

Usually my boyfriend and I take the plane to France, but this time we wanted to leave in the summer, and even so-called 'cheap' companies were much too expensive (about £350 per person instead of the £180 per person we were used to paying) so we decided to have a look and shop around for ferry crossings on the Internet. I found a ... Read the complete review

My family-in-law and I used Norfolk Line to travel from Dover to Dunkerque in December 2001, because it was slightly cheaper than the main ferries (P&O, Hoverspeed, etc). However, the crossing was one of the worst we'd been on (we usually take this journey every year) - rather than rocking from side to side, this was more like being in a ... Read the complete review

Norfolk Line are primarily freight carriers, and it's worth bearing this in mind when booking. If you have plenty of kids to keep entertained, you might be better off with the mainstream passenger carriers. But for those who need a cheap and effective crossing, these guys are the channel's best kept secret. We crossed last winter ... Read the complete review

Norfolkline are a ferry company who concentrate on the Dunkirk to Dover route. They are relatively new, and like their other competitors they have the dual purpose of moving people and freight over the English Channel. The standard route is Dover to Calais, and I suppose that a few people would be put off by this- but the two ports are actually ... Read the complete review
