Every good story starts at the very beginning, so I guess, if I want this to be a good story I guess I should start at the beginning... ~Mood setting babble~ ...Sunday before last, it was a lurverly sunny day, and we were heading home from boyfies folks in Wiltshire, and we were bitching and moaning about wanting to go on ... It would appear that this category i.e. P & O Stena lines is now rather out of date. Entering the usual www.posl.co.uk address, finds you automatically rerouted to www.poferries.com, this tending to suggest that the "Stena" branding is now defunct. My review then is of P & O Ferries Dover to Calais ... Read the complete review

P & O Stens Line... I've travelled 3 times on the Dover - Calais Crossing now and 1st time I was a little nervous because I was about 10 and it was quite early in the morning but we went to the very good arcade which I will say has the BEST games around and that kind of chilled me a little, then after that we went up on the deck which had ... After returning from my holiday in southern France, I had a LONG drive up to Calais, but was rewarded there by the big shopping mally kind of thing, which sells cheap booze and is full of English people! Once you've filled up your car to the fullest, you'll have to travel to the ferry terminal. It's not too far, don't worry. Unless ... Read the complete review

Taking a weekend break to do the Christmas Shopping in Scotland seemed a good Idea and to bring back all the goodies a car is essential, so the choices were 1, Seacat Belfast to Troon. 2, P&O Larne to Cairnryan or the one I choose due to a special offer was Stena Line Belfast to Stranraer on the HSS which takes 110 minutes to cross the Irish Sea. ... I live in Northern Ireland with my husband and children. My entire family lives just outside of Glasgow. I therefore travel between the two countried fairly regularly. My mother doesn't drive, so when I visit, I always like to take my car with me. That obviously rules out flying! I get sea sick quite easily, so I want to have as ... Read the complete review

Having been with Dooyoo for a while I thought I'd update this op and tell you about my girlfriend....we get on so well... The other night I got home and after a while told her to take my shoes and socks off, which she did..and then I told her to take my shirt and tie off ..which again she did. I then asked her to take my trousers ... Read the complete review

I have travelled with P&O Stena to Calais many times, and have found their service and value for money first class. With a departure every 35mins or so in peak times I have found that you can on many occasions just turn up and go. Every time I have travelled the ferry has departed bang on time. Forget the so-called 'time-saving' ... Read the complete review

Ok I have to admit there was a fair bit of bad luck in my expreience (notably the weather and recent floodings). I was travelling from Manchester Picadilly to hester to Holyhead to catch the ferry...getting to Holyhead itself is a pain cause there is generally a lot switching to do even if your travelling from a bit city. When you do get to ... Read the complete review

Relaxed travel and small children. Not something that usually goes together. We took the Stena HSS from Stranrar to Belfast and were impressed. The crossing took 1hr 45mins. If you have kids of any age head for the seats next to the play area. (If you don't have kids sit far away from here). It has a soft play area with ... Read the complete review

I have used this crossing many times and really if you want to get to calais from dover there isnt much alternative, only the hovercraft and eurotunnel .. using the ferry can be much more relaxing than the other two, as you can walk about the ferry, get a meal etc etc ... if you are on a nice newer ferry( remember they are running several all the ... I took the ferry the ther day for the second time, and I must say... what's the point? Well, on my case, I needed to go to Europe by car, so I booked with P&O. Fist thing, the price... £170 for a 24 hour round trip is a bit too much... well, they give you a complementary bottle fo cheap booze... but then again, who cares. The ferry is usually ... After the nightmare getting to Holyhead due to roadworks and a single carriageway road (the transport links to our ports/airports are always so good aren't they!) the car is on the ferry in no time. All on one deck, the ship is huge with loads of places to sit and plenty of shops to keep you occupied. Its quite difficult to see out of ... Read the complete review
