Advantages: comfy, relaxing, easy
Disadvantages: expensive, annoying
I am about to take quest in order to get myself out of work then catch a train at 9:07pm. Its gonna be a bit of rush as I have 10 minutes to run to the railway station. The first thought that played on my mind will be what if it's early. Now cause its night then maybe the train might not be that packed so therefor it might run ahead of schedule. Then I thought nah it'll be late it has been the last 5 times I have travelled by train. But still let's not tempt fate. When buying my ticket which cost £7.90, now that's not bad I hear you cry, you right its pretty good to travel from Weston-Super-Mare (near Bristol) to Didcot (near Oxford) what I didn't understand is this was a cheap day return ticket. If I had just wanted a single it would cost me £17 !!!! Now if the nice man behind the counter had not scanned his huge book of cheap tickets, that they rarely tell you about I would be £9.10 out of pocket and as a student that could do a lot for me. Why is it that these fares are not promoted! I do not understand. But there are good points. Trains at night are relaxing and I love travelling on them when they are like this. Although you always get the moron sitting behind you talking to his wife about the meal he's gonna get when he arrives home. Thumbs up or down to this I cant decide although I think they will be more down then up! Thanx for reading...

- 16/07/01 I hate catching trains if I don't know where I am going or how much it should cost. I always look up the prices beforehand to make sure they don't rip me off at the station. |

- 16/07/01 Got to agree that the price structure is confusing, so many different type tickets. Kay |
