The trains themselves are we... Read the full review: Virgin trains - experience to remember by tangoman84 |

Shanghai Maglev Train ... MagLev (Magnetic Levitation) is a modern form of rail transport that links Shanghai s Pudong airport to Pudong, a few km short of the river that seperates Pu-Xi from Pudong. It s a high speed connection linking the airport to the city, taking a mere 7 minutes to complete a journey that if done by road during rush hour can take up to an hour. The MagLev travels up to 431km/h (268mph) and operates by levitating above a concrete railway using magnets allowing it to reach such incredible speeds, allowing it complete 19 miles of track in just under 7 minutes. It only operates at it s optimum speed of 431km/h for about 10-15 seconds because once it s reached 431km/h it s ... Read the full review: MagLev - 19miles in 7 minutes. by aero-zeppelin |

The people who are the actual owners of the franchise are the First Group who also operate a large amount of the bus services within Scotland. I live in a town situated about 30 minutes by train from Glasgow and so I fairly regularly use the local train services for getting about with a large amount of train stations offering a good variety of destinations on a fairly regular service. The trains are all fairly well maintained and clean with plenty of comfortable seating on offer but on regular occassions you will find that you will not have a seat ...
