Advantages: comfy seats, relaxing journey, very modern

Disadvantages: none

I have ued Scot Rail on several occasion while travelling through out Scotland. They only travle throughout Scotland but at good prices. I use this as a local train also from going to local stations, these are very uncomfortable seats and sitting on a plank of wood would be comfier. The conditions of these aren't as good as trains on a longer ScotRail journey, but what do I expect for a 15 minute journey costing around £1.50.

Throughout the day many trains from this company go to Glasgow Queen Street station and Dundee etc. There is room for luggage like usual trains have.

I like the modern Scot Rail trians, their designs are distinctive and they look bright compared to the other trains in the stations. When walking onto one of these trains you are in the linking bits of the train you then walk through thr automatic doors which are fancy and find your seat which is a purple and very comfy. The seats here are as good as first class with some tables and it is very relaxing to gaze out of the window at the beautiful Scottish landscapes.

These trains can be busier in the morning with people going to work and trains going back to cities like glasgow and edinburgh. There are sometimes mainly at night when the trains are empty, mostly at their last stop. I have never had to stand on these trains before, but if you are going to stand there are the spaces between the carriages to do so, where the exits and toilets are.

Toilets on the trains are in an ok condition but I still avoid toilets on trains as I hate it. When at your train station over the tanoy you are usually told how the Scot Rail services give a full trolley service through out the journey with drinks and snacks.

I definitely recommend ScotRail for those visiting Scotland and those living in Scotland. They are a good service comfy seats, relaxing, very modern and the ticket man and inspectors are very friendly, what more could you want?
