Advantages: cheap fares
Disadvantages: condition of few buses
Stagecoach Bus Station is located outside Festival Place in Basingstoke. I use Stagecoach Bus service at least once a week as I don't drive and it is the only way I can get into Basingstoke town centre.
There is an Information Centre at the Bus Station where you can obtain bus timetables and ask for information about bus services. You can also sit here indoors and wait for you bus although it does close early evening.
My bus is usually late but more annoyingly the electronic board is never updated with time changes, lane changes etc. Quite often the bus does not leave from the correct stand and worse of all the passengers are kept completely in the dark about it and so end up missing the bus.
The drivers are mostly polite, friendly and helpful and the bus vehicles are reasonably clean, comfortable and tidy and not overcrowded. Cost of services are reasonable and there are reductions available for instance when using a Day Rider Ticket. Tickets can be bought online and there is very good customer service incase you got any queries. The phone number is 087 which is national lines. If you contact through email they tend to reply within 2 working days. This is my experience with stagecoach. I also write on ciao and helphound.
Summary: Beat credit crunch
