If you want to go to Stansted airport with public transport, you can either take the Stansted Express from Liverpool Street, or, in theory, a normal train going to Stansted, and then jump on the Stansted Express, but it would take you ages. Otherwise it has got to be the bus.

The bus is the cheapest options, there are buses from Victoria and buses from Finsbury Square, with Terravision, close to Liverpool Street. However, if you want to get there on time and fast, then the Stansted Extress is quite simply the only option.

This is the reason why they can charge nothing less than 16 quids for each leg of your trip. The Stansted Express train leaves from Liverpool Street. It is easy to find the platform, and you can buy tickets from the machines in the middle of the hall at Liverpool Street. Be aware that they do not take cash!!

Some time the train is really packed! I find that there is not enough space to store all the luggage and it can get stuffy! Still, they will try to pass through with a trolley with refreshment!
