The Stansted Express is brilliant. I've used it a few times now and will continue to do so because of its fantastic service and brand new spectacularly clean trains. Stansted Express has recently started using brand new Class 379 trains which are extremely comfortable and very modern.

It's not the fastest service in the world, taking about 3/4 of an hour and that's my only criticism however it does depart every 15 minutes from the terminal building to London Liverpool Street, so extremely quick and easy to get from plane to train. The service also sticks to a nice, simple timetable, with trains leaving Stansted Airport at quarter past, half past, quarter to and on the hour throughout the day. The opposite direction is also served every 15 minutes and takes the same amount of time, again sticking to a nice, simple timetable.

Liverpool Street station, where the service terminates is the perfect location in London to get to almost anywhere quickly via the London Underground lines. Most places that are popular attractions in London are no more than 15 or 20 minutes away. St. Paul's cathedral and Tower bridge in particular are both very close as well as Tower 42, 30 St. Mary's Axe (or the Gherkin) and all the other high rise buildings in that area, all within walking distance.

The Stansted Express seems to always be bang on time, which is vital for trains to and from an airport, especially a busy one, making the Stansted Express extremely reliable. You could be waiting in the queue for the London Eye in less than 2 hours after your plane lands at Stansted Airport, thanks to the amazing service provided by the Stansted Express!
