I used use go regally from Edinburgh to London via train, then virgin train took over the west coat line, and because I did not like the arrogance and aggression of virgin the staff and found then unhelpful and self centred, I would opted to go on the GNER east cost line. GNER was a fabulous service perhaps not as new as Virgin train rolling stock but faster, politer and more determent to supply a service. My mother moved to Carlisle which meant stopping at Carlisle. Frequency I would find that the Carlisle station which is run by Virgin trains has been running its own time tables. Almost every times, I have booked online or called national rail enquires I have been given times tables which the staff at Carlisle refute to be the correct information and in fact claiming even when shown time table, printed itineraries for travel that there time table is incorrect and that national rail are wrong and if I wish to know the time of the train to call Carlisle station not national rail. However I remember one weekend while leaving to go to Newcastle (not a virgin train rail way station) from Carlisle to get the east coat line. Getting to Carlisle to find that, yet again the train that I was meant to be leaving on did not exist in the Carlisle staff's un-printed time table. 20 minutes later the train did arrive but I was told that this was the next hour service rather then a late last hour service. We where directed to board this train that would leave on the next hour. As the next hour approached another train appear on the Newcastle line that block are train in. Could it be that this actually the last hours service I am sitting on that has been abandoned and that this train which has now block us in is the next hour service and that national rails rail information is correct after all. We here then where directed to move from the train we had blocked us in, I asked the guard if the train we where on was actually the last hour train that had arrived 20 late, The guard swearing as he talked said that this was not the last F**king hour train and that train is always arrives at the station at that f**king time. If that is the case why did he put us on the wrong train and why have I never seen that train lying terminated again and more importable why have I been able to get that so called incorrect time tabled train.

As I arrive at the station one day the answer becomes clear there is a large poster which advertises Virgins train's track record to be on time and not have cancelled services etc. However you do have to wonder to witch time table are they measuring it to. I encourage rail inspector to investigate the claims.
