Virgin Trains provide a high quality, low cost service that is as reliable as can be expected given the circumstances. The trains are always clean, the staff courteous in their manner and in the face of the perenially disgruntled whining British public. I travel frequently by train; there are only infrequently significant delays. How people expect every train they use to run on the dot is beyond me. Do they blame the drivers in front of them on a busy motorway for causing delays? No, they blame the infrastructure itself. Railtrack has a lot more to answer for than Virgin.
