I frequently use Virgin Trains to travel between Manchester and London. The service is regular, fast and generally reliable. The problem is the price: a return before 9.30am is over £200!!!!

It's all very well to say there are cheaper advance tickets, but often business travelers like myself simply can't book in advance, or don't know when they are returning.

It seems it is OK to overcharge such people.

Travellers on the Edinburgh/Penzance line have every reason to hate them They are normally hugely overcrowded (sometimes to the point where it is physically impossible to get on them).
