Advantages: It's Near Shops Where You Can Buy Your Bits And Peices From.

Disadvantages: It's Filthy, Disgusting and Dangerous !

I hate New Street train station because it is always cramped and dirty, the trains never leave the station on time either and the people who look after the station do not care if people are drinking around the station or on the platforms.

On the news it says it is going to be done up and it needs it because it horrible and at night is poorly lit and I think dangerous the way drunks and homeless people are allowed to congregate around the station.

You can get trains to anywhere from New Street because it is one of the main stations in the country and you would think they would make an effort to bring it up to date.

There are some shops on the station but it is right in the middle of town so you're better off to get your stuff before going into the station because it's expensive in there and there isn't much choice. The WH Smiths is quite good but never has any of the special prices in the normal shops, there is a Millies Cookies there as well but they have gone downhill recently and don't have as many choices of cookies as they used to have. There is a cafe in the station but its expensive and they only do sandwiches and cakes and things like that, my mum loves their coffee but they make it to strong for me.

There are loads of machines to buy your train tickets from and an information desk but they always give wrong advice so we suss it out on our own now and only ask for help if we're really stuck. The televisions over the platforms are not very good either and they are not always up to date and that means you can sometimes have to rush for your train so I don't trust them. There are toilets as well but they are always dirty as well even though there is someone cleaning them all the time.
