I don't know how the bus shelters are shaping up in your kneck of the woods, but i sincerely hope they are not like the new "alleged" shelters which are being used to replace the older - functional bus shelters throughout the length and breadth of dear old Glasgow Town.
These new bus shelters only have 3 sides and a very high roof.
Anyone who has ever experienced a downfall of rain in Glasgow will tell you that Glasgow's rain is different to anywhere elses rain.
Rain usually falls vertically, but the Glasgow rain falls horizontally, always being driven by the wind.
Add to this the fact that when cars and trucks go by, the already soaked residents of the bus shelter get even more soaked from the splashes generated by cars and lorries, and it adds insult to injury.
It would appear that at enormous expense, Glasgow is losing all of it's old but functional 4 sided shelters because of the implementation of a very bad design, and this in the name of progress !
If you come to visit Glasgow, bring an umbrella - or a Wet Suit - You will surely need them from now on.
