Disadvantages: Two Prices
This is in my opinion very questionable. Two prices, one before 9.30am and an other after. As someone who is not normally using buses I found this out recently. When the bus is in view the potential passenger only sees "ALL DAY TRAVEL UNLIMITED £1.95" on the front of the bus on a broad band. This is day ticket and is suppose to give the passenger, travel on First Buses all day for £1.95 if it is after 9.30am. But if it is before 9.30am the price is not £1.95 but £2.55 as I was informed by the driver, VERY Questionable. How can First Bus (or any company) get away with this? This is public advertising as £1.95.
I can therefore not recommend First Bus. This is from someone who will not be using buses unless I have no choice. The other information about prices is on a panel on a side window, back from the door, that a passenger may not see on alighting the bus.
Yes it may be possible for the passenger to save some money depending on the amount of travelling and the distance on the day. But I beleave only one price must be used.
