Mega train is a website which allows cheap travel through out the country. When I mean cheap I mean very cheap! Infact as low as £1!!!

The lines that they run tend to be within districts. For example you can not catch a train from newcastle to plymouth all in one go. If you were to use this service for that you would need to plan each step and pay for each step individually... Yes, that is a lot of messing about but if its stupidly cheap it may be worth it?

The service gives you a code which you use instead of a ticket. You show this to the conductor, he inputs the code, bob's your uncle!

I was nervous about the process the first time- it did seem to good to be true but i assure you it works!
I have just travelled on a service from peterborough to sheffield and back for £2.50. If I brought this trip through the station its likely to cost closer to £30!

Annoyingly I brought a railcard at the beginning of the year! What a waste that was?!

Summary: Cheap, works, unbeatable!
