100 mile train tickets for £1.50!!!!!! (Megatrain)

This is a masively under used service!
In all my days on trains and talking to people know one know's about the benefits of this place!
That is why I am here :D

The service I know most about is the train side of things so this is going to be geared towards that. Do not want to blag about something i have no idea about!

The service offers cheap rates to travel shorter distances across the country. For example I know my friend can get from Sheffield to Peterborough for £2.50 return!
To get the cheap prices you do need to buy in advance- For £1 tickets your looking at 3 or 4 weeks notice. At about 2 weeks the prices go up to around £5- which is still a bargain!

However, if you are buying on short notice expect prices elsewhere to be cheaper if not the same.

The route's they offer are quite ride spread but not that many to be honest. Maybe if you check it out you can get lucky!

The one worry about the service is you do not get a ticket. Instead they give you a code which you must print off and show the ticket masters. Once I had a problem with this as i never printed out my ticket and instead just wrote the number down... The ticket master did not like this and told me I would have to buy a new ticket!
Luckily I had the orignal saved on my computer. So I showed her that and it was all good :D
