Newest Review: ... coaches do, it makes difficult to get the business done! One problem I do have with National Express Coaches is the amount of leg room. I am 6ft 3ins tall and there often isn't room to have my knees in front of me, I usually have to take an aisle seat so I can stretch my legs in the aisle. This is one reason why I only tend to use the coaches for short journeys (up to 2 hours), any longer ... more

If you visit www.nationalexpress.com you can book travel tickets to most UK major cities and towns by train and coach, as well as airport transfers. My review is going to mostly refer to their coach service. Booking the tickets online is very easy, you enter your location, where you are traveling to and the dates you are traveling and it will present you with times and fares available throughout the day. You can then choose the best ones to suit you, enter your payment details and you can then print off your ticket. They will also send you a copy of the ticket to your email address too in case you lose the print off! There is also the option of having the ...  Read the complete review

National Express is the only national coach network (thats truly national) and is ran by the National Express Group, who operate buses, coaches & trains across the UK. National Express was founded back in 1972 as National Express but was later rebranded National Express Group Plc in 1992. The brand was created back in 1972 by the National Bus Company to bring together all express bus & coach services in the UK. National Express Coaches operates to over 1000 different places from far north Scotland to far south England and most places in between. So your never far from a National Express coach stop. National Express Service 035 Poole/Swanage to London Victoria. First of all I have only been using the national express for a period of two months, therefore if you find any details inaccurate I'm very sorry, I don't think that you will lose any sleep over it- but tell me all the same via dooyoo messenger and I would gladly change the review to suit you. However, if you get too fussy, I'm sorry I may not comply. First trip: I was using the mobile tickets in order to get onto the coach with my return ticket. I must admin I do like the mobile tickets. However, because I am a panicky person I feel as though my phone will ...  Read the complete review

Who put the EXPRESS in National Express? (269 words)

Booked a coach trip from London Victoria to Milano, via Paris for one week. It was like a carry on film, almost farcical and amateurish at times but quite annoying and inconvenient at others. We had a Polish coach driver who did not know the roads well so we missed our slot at the Channel tunnel and had to wait for the next crossing. This meant that we risked missing the connection in Paris. Coach driver had no idea what to do or who to contact. Our friends at home contacted the helpline who asked for the Paris coach to be delayed by an hour!! When we finally crossed, drove to Paris, our Polish friend didn't know where the coach station was. Some French passengers ...  Read the complete review

The national express website is easy to navigate. You can search for coach or train tickets easily by inputting the locations and dates of travel needed. Booking via the phoneline is also easy and efficient, which is much appreciated when trying to validate a last minute open return ticket. Now, I'm largely in favour of coach travel, so that's where my review will focus, as I just hate dealing with the hustle and bustle of trains. There are discount cards available, such as the aged 16-26 coachcard that gives you 30% off coach travel, which is extremely useful for all those trips back and forth from university to home. Three years worth of this discount ...  Read the complete review
