The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is Kent's mainline in miniature.
Greater London Station
The station was first opened in 1854 and has recently benefited from a major redevelopment. This has included a new customer information system, new platform surfaces and a new shopping, eating and waiting area called "The Lawn". "The Railway Station" (1862) by Frith illustrates passengers boarding a train at Paddington station. The detailing of Brunels roof and Digby Wyatts ornamentation is exceptionally clear and has assisted in recent restoration works.
Victoria station, in its current form, has grown from the amalgamation of two stations. The Kent side provides services to Medway towns and the Kent coast. The remainder serves routes to Sussex. Over 115 million people pass through the station each year.

Chiltern Railways is a train operating company in England. It was formed by the privatisation of British Rail in 1996 and it operates train mainline services from Marylebone station in London, to Aylesbury and Birmingham Snow Hill. Initially the line was franchised to a company formed by the British Rail managers of the route, but since 2003 has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Laing Rail, who owned a much smaller shareholding at privatisation. In 2002 a new 20 year franchise began which promises significant investment in the route. Going by the "peak time" punctuality statistics published by the Strategic Rail Authority, they are the 5th most punctual train operating company. Chiltern operate services on four routes: Chiltern Main Line, London to Aylesbury Line, Princes Risborough to Aylesbury Line, Leamington to Stratford Line.
Originally completed in 1874, Liverpool Street station benefited from a major redevelopment in the late 1980s. It is the London terminus of the former Great Eastern Railway, originally providing routes to Norwich via Ipswich and Kings Lynn via Cambridge. Today the station has 123 million visitors each year and remains a stunning example of the fusion of modern facilities within the traditional environment.
King's Cross is the London terminus for the east coast main line. The station was opened in 1852 and the station roof, the largest at the time, was supposedly modelled on the riding school of the Czars of Moscow. It is also rumoured that Queen Boudicaa is buried beneath platform 8. Over 40 million people pass through the station each year.
