Advantages: Situated in city centre, Close to Arndale, Tram service
Disadvantages: none
Victoria station is situated in the city centre. It is the main station, with trains coming from and going to all main stations and all other stations in Manchester. The nearest shopping centre is the Arndale Centre. There is also a cinema complex nearby, so its a great stop for entertainment! There are tram services going to areas in Manchester, including Heaton Park. Unlike most stations, its easy to find your way around. The ticket office, toilets, and taxi stands are all nearby. Thats a great advantage as i should know since i travel by rail quite often! Another advantage is that its easy to get one from platform to another, so if you have a second train to catch you dont have to run from one end of the station to the other! No worries about missing trains!

- 05/08/02 What JOHNDMR says. if you look at the path above the thread starts off as london stations and you have written about a manchester station. I will ask dooyoo to move it but to do so they would have to create a new thread and to be honest, i don't think the op will be detailled enough to warrant opening a new catogary, so they may freeze the op.
I'll have a go and we'll see what happens. |
