Advantages: Cheap.

Disadvantages: Bad attitudes, Gotta fold pram, and get all of my stuff on the buss, unreliable

Oooooh! Getting out in Leeds, can be a real nightmare, well that's if you've gotta get the bus!
Well, some of the drivers are nice, but the majority of them have got very bad attitudes. I have made several complaints to the main offices , but I all I ever got were letters confirming my complaints!

You see, where my mother in law lives, all the busses are "Pram friendly" So you can just drive on your pram, no hasstle, only thing is, they either get too many prams on, and they make you wait for the next one,(Not good, especially in the winter, or with a crying baby! One time, there was already 3 prams on the bus, so I had to wait for the next one, and one of the girls on the bus with her pram stuck 2 fingers up to me!!! I won't tell you what I said lol!!) or you get dirty looks from everyone, cos lazy people like to sit in the pram spots!

This time I got on, and there was this girl there, with no pram, no bags, nothing, and I was like "MOVE IT!!!!!!" She s**t herself!! (I'm only small, and gentle looking lol!!) There are a lot of ignorant people around!

The other thing is, that up my end of Leeds, about 1 in 10 busses will be a pram bus, so you have all the fun of folding up the pram, carring your baby, and bag(s) and the buss driver always starts driving off before you sit down, and me and my 6 months old have had a few near misses with poles, and the window!

Just today, I got to the bus stop, there was a bus in, and when I and my buggy got to the door which was still open, he closed them, giving me a dirty look, and drove off!!! I was left stranded, with a poorly baby, who had an appointment with her doctor, and we have no car, so that was the only way of getting there. They don't care though. When I got here there, they said she had a bad tummy and throat infection, poor love! And she was stuck in the rain too! (It's ok she was rewarded with a nice bag of choccy buttons, amazing how
much babies will perk up when they see a bag of chocs!!!)

That's not the first time either, but it was definately the worst time.

They are also very unreliable, they are never on time, and that's when they do turn up lol!

If you are planning to be getting busses in Leeds with a pram, good luck! Or even better, get a taxi, I do a lot of the time, but it can be very expencive.
But there is nothing I can do, our busses here are terrible, 3/4 of the drivers have bad attitudes, and the company does not take any of my letter serious.

A company to avoid like the plague! (By the way, the company is First Leeds.)

Sorry, I meant "public" (or did I mean to say "rubbish"?)!

It's not easy, is it, travelling on publish transport with a baby? Still, at least they are making more and more buses accessible to prams. Did you have a good time at mum-in-law's?
