Advantages: Fast, convienient
Disadvantages: Expensive, unreliable
I have used the Tube for about 6 years now.
I first used used it when I was unfamiliar with London and found it infinitely easier to use than the buses, with the added bonus of no traffic.
I found the Travelcard feature, which is an all day card which allows you to use both buses and tube trains quite useful.
However, my main bone of contention with them has always been the price of the fares which are extortionate compared with other countries.
However, since they are subsidised by the Government who are reducing it year by year, there is nothing much anyone can do.
I find access pretty good, apart from the number of flights of stairs which are bothersome if you have a pram, but I think this is more than compensated by the ease of travel compared with trying to stuff your pram in the luggage compartment on a bus with a baby in the other.
