Advantages: Fast and Effective

Disadvantages: Expensive and Gloomy (except the Jubilee Line stations)

The Tube is by no means an efficient transport system around London, but most people forget to take not of the fact that most visitors to London would not be able to cope without it.

The tube is often dark and the trains are unreliable, however it is reasonably safe and although it seems expensive for a single ticket, a one day (or longer) travel card at around £4 depending on the confusing zone system, helps you get around and also allows you access to buses, some trains and the Dockland Light Railway

Although some stations were built to annoy, such as Covent Garden with its 6 lifts and no escalators often means that on peak nights people are forced to wait in the crush or walk up or down the 193 steps up the emergency spiral stair case, other stations are easy to cope with and the lines are getting better and better such as the new Jubilee line which is both quicky, comfy and incredibly shiny.

London Transport are slowly updating and there is something almost mystical about some stations such as the hidden tunnels around Holborn and the amonisity of South Ken'(sington)

Although we slag the tube off everyday there is something comforting about trvaelling to and frow after work with the familiar sounds. "Mind the Gap" "This is London Briiiiiiijjjjjjj, change here for the London Briiiiiiijjjjjjj mainline stashun etc"

C'Mon give it a go, its better and often faster than walking
