Big, busy and a major point of arrival from both Europe and other major inland cities. It has a notorious reputation for attracting predatory petty criminals, and particularly for people looking to recruit teenage runaways. It does have shops, but when you're catching a late train, don't expect any of them to be open. The Burger King is legendary for the utter shabbiness of its service - try it out. It must be a punishment unit for bad BK employees, they all seem to think they are serving a sentence, but then I guess so would I if I worked there.

Coach and tube are just on the doorstep, and the tube links to the Victoria, Circle and District lines, which is not too bad. The Victoria line is quick, as well, it takes about 20 minutes to Kings Cross.
